Ronald L. Bell & Associates, P.C. is a full-service law firm covering a wide range of legal matters including family law, personal injury, criminal law, business law and litigation as well as specializing in divorce and family issues law. Serving since 1980 and coming from three generations of lawyers, Mr. Bell has practiced for over three decades.
Mr. Bell grew up with the aspiration to become a lawyer, influenced strongly by his father and grandfather before him. They were his inspiration and surrounded by their positive guidance, practicing law was a natural progression for him.
As a highly regarded lawyer, Mr. Bell has been involved in cases and appeals valuing multimillions of dollars and he has also represented fellow attorneys. He is highly respected in the legal community, formerly serving as the Assistant Illinois Attorney General from 1980 to 1984 and Chief Corporate Counsel to a company with a value of two-hundred fifty million dollars.
Mr. Bell’s impressive academic achievements include achieving his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science at Lake Forest College when he was 20. The following year, he was the top student at the John Marshall Law School and selected to work for the Law Review as an editor. Mr. Bell graduated law school at the age of 23, making him the youngest attorney in Illinois. As he furthered in his academics, he earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from John Marshall Law School, remaining on the Dean’s List throughout his academic experiences. He was arguing cases in the Supreme Court at the age of 24, and has now been practicing for 43 years. Additionally, Mr. Bell is well known for his written works as a published author, in 1980 for Our Land is Your Land and the John Marshall Law, Volume 13.
Over the course of his illustrious career, Mr. Bell has been the recipient of many awards which include a Citation of Excellence and recognition by Who’s Who in America Law. Mr. Bell has also earnt affiliation with numerous organizations including the highly coveted Trial Masters, who accept new members on an invitation only basis and upon experience.
With an impressive background in litigation, Mr. Bell has been involved in cases held within the United States Supreme Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and every Illinois appellate court. As one of the highest levels of distinction, Mr. Bell is recognized as ‘Distinguished Counsel’ and was also named within Top American Attorneys of North America as well as the Top 100 Lawyers of America 2019.
Among his many accolades, Mr. Bell has been honored as a Top-rated Lawyer by AVVO, America’s Top 100 Attorney and he continues to remain in the top 10 Attorneys in Illinois by American Institute. In addition, He was rated Top 10 Attorney by Attorney Magazine, named as Best Attorney of America, named in the top one percent by National Association of Distinguished Counsel, and named as a Power Lawyer by Wall Street Journal Former Illinois Assistant Attorney General. He also holds the title of Author of the book Dealing with Divorce in Illinois. He was also awarded inclusion in the 7 figure litigators club for award of $4,000,000 in a medical malpractice case and litigation in Divorce cases dealing with millions of dollars.
